Hello, I’m Liz.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who never anticipated becoming a therapist. However, I have learned that whenever we are open to listening to our own stories and intuition and moving in the direction towards what matters most, we will find ourselves moving down the right path - even when the movement feels slow and the destination unclear.

As someone who understands the pain of feeling misunderstood, I believe that the relationship you have with your therapist is the most important aspect of therapy. Healing only happens when one feels seen, safe, and supported. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process rooted in respect and compassion, where I am present to support you in identifying and implementing strategies to effect healing and change; clients have appreciated my efforts to create the environment where that is possible As a therapist currently in training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I believe in in looking at not only the stories you have to tell, but the story your body holds as well. This means that, during your therapeutic process, we will not only  engage in talk therapy but also focus our attention on how your stories and emotions appear in your body.
